Pelicans are rescued throughout the year by many agencies, but I am most in touch with the Internation Bird Rescue organization. I watched them clean all sorts of birds after the oil spill in Louisiana, and admire their gentle work in helping to get the sea birds back to their natural habitat, able to fly.
As you may know, it’s impossible for birds to fly with heavy oil in their wings.
As the birds rehabilitate, they need supplies of food. A lot of food. This helps them rehabilitate and regain their strength so they can go back to the wild and fend for themselves, all with their help and ours.
If you click on the link below, you can read more about pelican rehab, visit their rehab facitility, watch some cleaning, and then donate a bit to help fund the fish the pelicans need to rebuild their strength.
YOU can help with just a small donation, via Paypal or via your credit card details.
Thanks for helping these beautiful creatures!
