Five for Fighting

I’ve not met a Five for Fighting song I didn’t love, but this one gets to me every time. It reminds me of my daughter and husband (and my extended family and friends) and how fast life goes. You can’t make every moment count, but it’s good to realize how important things are as you go.

Lunching and Learning

Normally, I’m setting up equipment for conferences, but today I gave my own (mini, mind you).   It was a “Lunch & Learn” about the Intranet redesign I just finished.   Eight people showed up, so it was nice to have a small group.   I liked the tall chair to sit down in and the podium to hide behind.  🙂   The only bad part was when Vista decided it had auto-applied some updates and it was gonna reboot.   

I don’t know.   Mid Lunch & Learn, not a good thing, but the reboot was at least brief.

Please help me. I LOVE this song by the Gorillaz, but have NO idea why. I suppose it is the mix of alternative music mixed in with a little rap (which I don’t mind in small amounts). I also love the guitar and generally, the beat throughout. I listen to this almost every morning. The laughing in the background makes me smile by the time it’s over.

But have a look at the lyrics. I mean, really. Does any of this make sense to anyone?
