This was painted by my paternal grandmother in 1988. She started a project with her grandchildren that year, beginning with the oldest.. me. We got to pick what we wanted her to paint.
Someday, maybe I’ll do this, too. I like art, and taking a painting class might be fun.
That’s a nice picture which I could happily hang on the wall and look at every day!
I do wish that I could paint like that, and I do admire those who can. Take care xx

. . . and it’s the only one of the three that she finished.

Flighty – Thank you.. .It IS beautiful; almost as much as the woman who painted it. Take care, yourself. xx
Ian – Indeed it is. I thought you might like to see the artistic side of my family, having seen the artistic side of yours. Your mum does wonders with landscapes.
BD – She didn’t get to David and Lori, I take it. 😦

I was wrong. She finished two. J’s is complete, but he doesn’t have it. I pulled it out of storage today. C’s is partially finished. She never got to David and Lori, as far as I know.
J’s painting is here:

She did amazing work. That hawk looks very realistic. 🙂

If you could learn to paint like that, then you won’t be ‘normal’, you will be extra-ordinary!…..who wants to be ‘normal’ anyway? Civilisation is pushed-along by those who are slightly different from most people!
