Do not allow golden retriever (Ginger) outside for any longer than it takes her to pee. Doing so only allows her to find mud and slide her whole body through it.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
p.s. It’s a long way from the back door to the shower. Thank goodness for stainguarded, retriever-coloured carpeting.
Oh no…could you have just hosed her off? I can imagine the muddy carpet…yuck!!!

Yeah, yeah… I cleaned up ok, though. I probably thought that was fun and I’m sure you didn’t drop me from very far, right? 🙂

Apple – the paw prints came right out. It’s just.. well… have you ever given a golden retriever a shower? They like to shake off all the water several times during, which then requires me to change my clothes.
It all worked out, though. Right after her shower, I told her to go down to the basement, where the old carpet is, so she could dry off.
She may be the only dog to understand, “Go to the basement”. For all I know.
Lolol…and where is the photo!?

lol… there is no time for photos while figuring out how to get your muddy dog to float over new carpet so as not to get it muddy. 🙂
The same thing happened to me during lunch today, only I had no time for doggy showers then. She went straight downstairs to the old carpeted area to dry out.

That’s the advantage of a shiny wooden floor – wipe clean. 🙂
Plus it’s fun to see dogs ice skating on them.

True.. part of the flooring is wood, and it’s a breeze to clean up. 🙂
