Weekend Stuff

Our supposed goal this weekend is to rip up carpet. The carpet is being replaced because we found some good carpet on sale, and because our existing carpet is probably 15-20 years old. To save money, we are ripping up the old carpet and getting rid of it.

We are hoping our new carpet will be at Home Depot by early next week. We will be out of town for most of the week, so we’re hoping for a Monday installation (Nov 26). We’ll see how that all goes.

The pain is going to be getting our furniture out of the way for the carpet installers. We only have two places to shove things… well, maybe more. Options:

• The dining room
• One of two bathrooms
• The lower living room, if we really feel like lugging things around
• The kitchen
