Ok, so it’s 40 degrees and it’s raining, sleeting and thundering. Go figure. Later, it’s supposed to snow.
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect… Snow…heavy at times…will continue this evening. The heaviest snow through 8 PM is expected to be from near Fremont south through Wahoo to Lincoln. Snowfall rates in this band may reach 2 inches per hour…with some thunder-snow possible. Otherwise…snowfall rates will average around a half inch to an inch per hour. Snowfall through 8 PM will generally be around 1 to 3 inches. As winds increase later this evening to 15 to 30 mph…expect blowing and drifting snow to increase across the area with visibilities dropping below a half mile at times.
