The Bar Scene

Last night, The Little Kid went with her sister to The Lion King (The Broadway Musical). We had a last-minute invitation to my husband’s friend’s 50th birthday party. It was a bar in Crescent, Iowa. They hired a band.

When I was in my early 30’s, we hung out at a lot of bars, because we followed a particular band.

I don’t miss hanging out at bars, drinking beer, breathing in second-hand smoke. And franky, by the time the band started playing (9 pm), it was already past my bedtime.

I would never make it in NYC, would I?
