The other day when I was uploading photos, I came across a “Congratulations, you’ve just reached a limit as a Non-Pro customer.” It seems as though Flickr is suddenly holding my photos hostage because I have chosen not to be a “Pro” customer.
I suppose I can’t blame them for setting limitations, but it seemed rather sudden, and I probably have photos stored on Flickr that I don’t have anywhere else, so I’m going to have to go “Pro”, whether I want to or not.
I guess some sort of advanced warning would have been nicer. Maybe I slept through the advanced warning. Hmph.
Really, though… Doesn’t this sound like a ransom note?

You’ve run into one of the limits of a free account. Your free account will only display the most recent 200 photos you’ve uploaded. All of your photos beyond 200 will remain hidden from view until you either delete newer photos, or upgrade to a Pro account.
None of your photos have been deleted, and if you upgrade, they’ll all come back unharmed.
So I decided to make a Photoblog. For Free.

I have a Flickr Pro account but policy is not nice. Limits need to stated up front.

Photobucket did that to me. Closed me right up and took my pictures away, and wouldn’t even give it back to me with PROOF I was who I was. They pretty much said. “sorry chump” Good luck
