American Idols Loses It’s Best (err “Only”) Rocker Chick

Thanks to everyone voting for the girl with the short skirt and the Indian guy who’s just winning votes because someone’s trying to prove the voting can be rigged, Gina Glocken has left the show.

I liked Gina because she had a strong voice and a cool look. She rocked out on Evanescence, which, to me, sounded just like them. As I watched this video, I thought she had what she needed to make it on this show, but the crap going on behind the scenes ruined that.

What Not To Wear

Today, I watched this show for the first time in a long time. A person appears on the show for a wardrobe makeover, and also a hair and makeup makeover. But it’s mostly about the clothes.

They go through the person’s current wardrobe and point out the problems with it. For example, the lady today mostly wore sweatshirts. She was thin and could wear almost anything, but mostly wore bulky clothes that hid her figure. She was self-conscious and kept worrying about being made to look top heavy…. as if that were possible with her figure (according to the hosts of the show).

They really had some nice ideas for her. The show provides $5,000 for a shopping spree. Can you imagine being able to ditch your old clothes and get $5,000-worth of replacements?
