Well remembered – it is Blisworth Tunnel and it is indeed just over 1.5 miles long.

Canal holidays:- perfect “can’t go fast/avoid the pace of modern life” thing to do.

Going through the locks on the boat is just so much fun and since the boats only go 4mph you can actually *talk* to the people walking their dogs along the towpath. 🙂
